On 7-30-2017, 7 boats raced 12 heats in light to medium winds and completed 12 heats. Of key note, pond is weed free, plenty of water an sailing was very competitive as one could sail almost anywhere on the pond seeking wind or tactical advantage. Results were:

The remaining 4 race days are 7/23, 7/30,/ 8/14, $ 8/30.

A reminder to qualify for a season series award, you must sail 60% of the race days  completed in a series.

For The Season, you must sail 60% of the total races completed in the Red Robin, Osprey, and Chuck Winder Series.

There are scheduled 5 races  in each series which if all sailed, you need to sail in 9 races to qualify for SEASON Awards.

You don't have to sail 3 races in all series to  qualfy, just the 60% total of all race days completed.

Red Robin Series #1

"Ten skippers came to the pond to race in the season opener.

On a bright sunny day the conditions were cool but comfortable temperatures,

moderate winds from the WNW in 6 to 10 knots with the usual variability of Redd's Pond.

Ten races were completed with starting at the middle starting marks and going to the street end of the pond

and then to the cemetary marks and finishing at the starting marks.

A few of the races utilized a set Gate marks for the windward and for the leeward turning marks.

Generally worked well and reduced the usual contentious congestion at the turning marks.

The marks are installed and can be used in future races particularly when we have a significant turnout on race day."
